Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Melt butter in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes.

02

Step
25 mins

Add water, chicken, carrots, bouillon, marjoram, pepper, and bay leaf, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 25 minutes. Remove bay leaf.

03

Step
10 mins

Stir in egg noodles and parsley, increase heat, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.

For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth instead of water and bouillon.
Add other vegetables like diced potatoes or peas for extra nutrients and texture.
Adjust the amount of noodles to your preference. Some people prefer a soup with more broth, while others like it thicker.
Make sure to remove the bay leaf before serving, as it can be bitter if accidentally eaten.
