For a richer flavor, consider using homemade chicken broth. If you don't have wild turkey, substitute with regular turkey breast or even chicken. Adjust the amount of jalapeno peppers and hot sauce to your preferred level of spiciness. Gumbo is even better the next day, as the flavors have more time to meld together.
