Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and soy sauce. Add the cooked rice, gently breaking up any clumps, and set aside. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Melt the butter in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, white parts of the green onions, peas and carrots, and onion slices. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly softened. Add the diced pork and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes, ensuring it is heated through. (Cook time: 5 minutes)

03

Step
7 mins

Pour the egg and rice mixture into the wok. Stir-fry continuously, ensuring the eggs cook evenly and the rice becomes golden brown and heated through. This should take approximately 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking. (Cook time: 7 minutes)

04

Step
1 mins

Garnish with the chopped green onion tops before serving. Serve immediately and enjoy! (Prep time: 1 minute)

For best results, use cold, day-old rice. This will prevent the fried rice from becoming too mushy.
Feel free to substitute other vegetables based on your preference or what you have on hand. Diced bell peppers, corn, or broccoli florets would also work well.
If you don't have pork chops, any cooked pork, such as roast pork or pulled pork, can be used.
Adjust the amount of soy sauce and seasoning to your taste. A dash of sesame oil at the end can also add a nice flavor.
Make sure your wok or skillet is hot before adding the ingredients. This will help to create a better texture and prevent sticking.
