Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a mixing bowl, gently crumble the leftover stuffing. Incorporate the turkey gravy, beaten egg, and freshly chopped herbs. Mix thoroughly, then gradually add the seasoned breadcrumbs until the mixture binds together. If the mixture remains too moist, add additional breadcrumbs, one tablespoon at a time, until it achieves a workable consistency. Shape the stuffing mixture into four equal patties, pressing firmly to ensure they hold their form. (Prep time: 15 minutes)

02

Step

Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the stuffing patties in the hot oil and cook undisturbed for approximately 2 minutes, or until a golden-brown crust forms. Gently flip the patties and continue cooking, flipping as needed, for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until they are heated through and golden brown on all sides. (Cook time: 7 minutes)

03

Step

In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter and fresh (or dried) sage until well combined. Spread the sage butter evenly over both sides of each brioche bun. Heat another large skillet over medium heat. Place the buns, buttered-side down, in the skillet and cook for approximately 1 minute, or until golden brown and toasted to perfection. (Cook time: 3 minutes)

04

Step

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over each toasted bun half. Place a stuffing patty on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with thinly sliced green apple, roasted turkey breast, and a generous slice of cranberry sauce. Divide the crispy fried onions evenly over each burger and top with the remaining bun halves. Serve immediately and savor the explosion of Thanksgiving flavors! (Assembly time: 5 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a thin smear of Dijon mustard to the bottom bun along with the mayonnaise.
If you prefer a tangier flavor, substitute the cranberry sauce with a homemade cranberry relish.
The stuffing patties can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.
Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese. Sharp cheddar, brie, or Gruyere would be excellent additions to this burger.
