In a large bowl, combine the yeast, warm water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves and let the mixture stand until a creamy layer forms on top, approximately 5 minutes. Stir in the oil, then add 2 tablespoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds, 2 tablespoons of dried minced onion, 1 tablespoon of dried minced garlic, garlic powder, and onion powder. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, up to 6 cups. Continue adding flour in half-cup increments as needed to achieve an elastic, non-sticky dough.
