Follow The Directions

01

Step
15 mins

Prepare the Pea Pods: Gently remove the string from each snow pea pod and trim off the blossom end. Create a small slit along the flat side of each pod. (Prep time: 15 minutes)

02

Step
1 hrs 30 mins

Ice Water Bath: Submerge the prepared pea pods in ice water and allow them to soak for approximately 1.5 hours. This will ensure their crispness and vibrant color. (Soak time: 1 hour 30 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Drain and Dry: Carefully drain the pea pods from the ice water and thoroughly pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. (Drying time: 5 minutes)

04

Step
20 mins

Fill the Pods: Transfer the softened herb and garlic cream cheese to a pastry bag fitted with a small tip. Gently pipe the cream cheese into each pea pod, filling it until it is plump and full. (Filling time: 20 minutes)

05

Step
10 mins

Arrange and Garnish: On a serving platter, create a bed of fresh spinach leaves. Arrange the filled pea pods artfully on top of the spinach. Garnish each pod with a delicate dollop of cream cheese and a sprinkling of fresh herbs, such as chives or dill. (Arrangement time: 10 minutes)

For a vegan variation, use a plant-based cream cheese alternative.
Experiment with different herbs and spices in the cream cheese filling, such as lemon zest, red pepper flakes, or smoked paprika.
If you don't have a pastry bag, you can use a resealable plastic bag with a small corner snipped off.
