Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 10x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

02

Step
5 mins

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

03

Step
10 mins

Arrange half of the cubed cinnamon swirl bread in the prepared baking dish. Distribute the cream cheese cubes evenly over the bread, then sprinkle with half of the blueberries. Top with the remaining bread and blueberries.

04

Step
5 mins

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and fruit. Gently press down on the bread to ensure it's submerged in the liquid.

05

Step
1 hrs

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight. This allows the bread to fully absorb the custard.

06

Step
10 mins

Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before baking.

07

Step
50 mins

Bake, covered, in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking until the top is golden brown and the custard is set, about 30 more minutes.

For an extra touch of indulgence, drizzle with additional maple syrup before serving.
Feel free to substitute other berries, such as raspberries or strawberries, for the blueberries.
If you don't have cinnamon swirl bread, use brioche or challah bread and add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar between the layers.
For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
