Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. (5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Arrange the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Spread each with 1 tablespoon of lingonberry jam. (5 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Layer each roll bottom with a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese. (5 minutes)

04

Step
2 mins

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, dried minced onion, sugar, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and honey mustard. (2 minutes)

05

Step
3 mins

Spoon or brush the butter mixture evenly over the layered rolls. Place the top halves of the rolls back on to form sandwiches. (3 minutes)

06

Step
20 mins

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, the tops are golden brown, and the filling is heated through. (20 minutes)

07

Step

Let cool slightly before serving. The sandwiches are best enjoyed warm, when the cheese is gooey and the rolls are soft.

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
If you don't have lingonberry jam, cranberry sauce or even a fruit preserves will work well as a substitute.
Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or meats. Provolone, Gruyere, turkey, or roast beef are all excellent choices.
These are perfect for parties, potlucks, or a quick and easy weeknight meal.
